Wes Hutchinson
2004
I moved from Nashville, TN after spending four and a half years cutting my teeth in the bar scene and the Music Row songwriting scene. I decided to take a stab at the Big Apple. I moved to New York City in 2004 to pursue a more intense music career and have been here ever since. The first thing that set me in motion in NYC was when I submitted my song 'Sheltering Sky', to the BMI Names Rock Boat Song Contest Winners 2004, and won.
2004-2007
Through collaboration with many great songwriters, artists, and producers my songs found their way into television shows. I've had songs placed on MTV's Laguna Beach, Fox's Boston Public, CBS' The Young and The Restless, NBC's Windfall, CBS' Clubhouse, Fox's Roswell, Fox's Party of DVD Compilation, Shreve, Crump, and Lowe commercials, etc.
2006
I was a BMI® Songwriter's Hall of Fame Abe Olman Scholarship Recipient in 2006. Many great up and coming writers received this award including John Legend in 2003. I also had the honor of being one of the first artist to ever play Billboard's prestigious "Billboard Underground". They even listed me on their Wikipedia page.
